Poetic Comprehension.

When writing this, I had just returned from a used book store where I picked up a collection of Robert Service's poems. Reading and deciphering poetry were among my most challenging high school Language Arts assignments. I am intrigued by the beauty in the ambiguous language of poetry. However, I desire to be more confident in knowing what the author intended the words to mean. It felt abundantly subjective at times, which may be the point. Since Wendell Berry is my favourite author and is well-written in non-fiction, fiction, and poetry, I decided to better understand my weakest point of comprehension by practicing.

Between these three writing genres, poetry accompanies photography more beautifully than the other two. For this reason, I want to work on learning poetry so that I may write it well one day.
