Familiar Flowers.
Growing up between Alberta's Parkland and Boreal Forest I became accustomed to seeing the same flowers every season. The most memorable and common ones were the Wild Rose, Tiger Lillys, and Yarrow. Since moving to the mountains I've been familiarizing myself with the local flora. Currently, the Saline Shooting Star is one of my favourites. It is always delightful to see the first Crocuses in the Spring and know that other native species will soon bloom.
