Emerging from the thawing boreal forest is a Crocus. Strikingly vibrant amongst the stark earth, still yearning for warmth. Delicate petals host golden pollen, awaiting the first insects of the season. How long will the Crocus anticipate a companion to aid its propagation? Surely, less time than the frozen hibernation.
