Local Economies.

I'm fascinated by the businesses you find in towns of all sizes. They seem so niche that it's hard to understand how their economics work. I remember in Whitehorse, there was a trophy store. How many trophies do you need to sell to cover rent? How many medals are given in a small city over a year? And how much are they charging per medal and trophy? I'm perplexed by the lives of the people who manage these businesses but encouraged by their existence. I've heard it's small businesses that keep rural economies alive.
