Grotto Canyon Big Foot.
This is a brief break from the Yellowstone posts but I wanted to throwback to when the leaves were still yellow and it wasn’t freezing. Also, thanks to all the great brands who took a chance on me through Instagram and sent me their products to try. I never would’ve imagined that brands with quality products would send me their gear so I could take photos of it. Whenever I head to the mountains (which I desperately need to again) my soul is rejuvenated. I’m still not sure if its because I’m enveloped by nature, or if its because I’m photographing things I love; nature, friends, and useful items.
For those of you who don’t know, Grotto Canyon is a short hike through two massive opposing rock faces that are lined with climbing anchors. Overall it was pretty chill until we approached the cave. Rhythmically we heard stones slamming together and couldn’t figure out what it was. We couldn’t see anything in the direction it was coming from but it was a faint, thud, thud, thud. I was paranoid out of my mind, likely due to having just listened to a podcast about Bigfoot, but I knew I was being irrational. It continued as Celine and Nic climbed up to the top while I sat wildly scanning the trees and mountainside for life. My mind is ridiculous, I know, but it was distinctly two rocks being hit together in a rhythm that wasn’t natural and the source was unclear. If anyone has any insight on what this occurrence could have been, I’d love to hear it. Thanks to this experience I’ll be carrying bear spray on me even for short popular hikes from now on.
Thanks for reading and if you're wondering which brands have sent me stuff here’s the list with links to their websites. I really enjoy each of them and highly recommend all of their products. Let me know if you have a favorite!
