2021 Calendar.
I feel so much gratitude for the support shown by how many people ordered a calendar this year. The images selected are meaningful to me as they were the last photos I made in Alberta before departing to the Yukon. I'm unsure when I will return, but I feel connected to many of the subjects I frequented over those last few months. There are trees and scenes that I have returned to countless times, waiting for better light, composition inspiration, or the alignment of atmospheric influences. The routine of returning to places and observing their slow changes is part of the joy for me. There is something intimate about getting to know a place as well as a partner or friend. An infatuation is experienced in the introduction that leads to return, where you then observe, you feel, you wait, and take pleasure in the subtleties that emerge.
As you turn the calendar pages, I hope you notice these same details I observed and begin learning more about the ecosystems around your homeland.
