Lucas & Brenda's Wedding
I arrived in Leslieville Friday afternoon for the wedding rehearsal and everything was coming together. The small church sanctuary was decorated and reception hall was nearly finished. That night I was invited to stay in the cabin with the groomsmen and hangout with the families. I grew up in Bonnyville with Lucas so it was great spending time with his family and getting to know Brenda’s. This allowed the wedding day to be absent of any awkward encounters and the photography to happen more naturally. Overall the day went extremely well and I couldn’t have asked for a more natural couple. Their relationship is admirable to anyone who has been around them and I can’t wait to see what their future holds.
Pertaining to the photography side of the day, wedding photography was always something very intimidating to me. Lucas and Brenda’s big day was the second wedding I photographed but I also assisted at one, which was a huge learning experience. I also found that shooting events or even sports translated well into the wedding day. With plenty of study and diligent YouTube wedding photography advice I felt prepared, considering my minimal work in the industry. By no means do I consider myself perfect in what I captured but I am extremely pleased with how everything went. Bellow are a few of my personal favorite images and I want to thank Lucas and Brenda for being such incredible people to work with!
